Excellent Broker Cooperation

Many of you have been asking us about the quality of various brokers and which ones offer the best services through QuoteTracker. We are glad to give a recommendation of a broker with an unmatched reputation - RJT.COM. RJT actively supports various trading needs of QuoteTracker users by providing:

• Most efficient tick-by-tick streaming quotes
• Tick-by-tick Level II quotes
• A specialized server interface for QuoteTracker Integrated Trading.

Since it is now difficult and/or expensive for our users to get Level II quotes from other sources, RJT.COM is making tick-by-tick NASDAQ Level II quotes available to all clients for only $25 per month including all exchange fees. To make it even better, they lowered their requirements for opening an account to just $100 if you sign up for Level II quotes. To open an account, just go to: www.rjt.com/qtdefault.html

Make sure to select the Level II option. RJT will then charge your account for the first two months of Level II service ($50). You can then deposit more money to trade or transfer securities into the account at your leisure. You are under no obligation to continue Level II quote service after the two month period that has already been paid for.

Quote Sources

As those of you who use Money.net and Datek Streamer know by now, Money.net has stopped the freebies and Datek is discontinuing their free Streaming quotes to non-clients by March 31st. Starting March 31st only Datek account-holders will be able to use the Streamer feed. We have received quite a few emails from concerned users about this asking us what course of action we recommend. Here are our recommendations:

- MARKETFEED - www.quotetracker.com/marketfeed
This data feed is available to everybody for $19.95 + exchange fees. The quotes are streaming tick-by-tick, and the company is closely cooperating with QuoteTracker and is constantly improving their offerings. You can track up to 200 symbols simultaneously, including various index symbols. Chart backfill and other options are coming in the near future.

- RJT Securities - http://www.rjt.com
RJT.COM is known for its reliability, attention to detail and excellent support. The free streaming feed that they provide for their customers is true tick-by-tick, is highly optimized and works well in QuoteTracker. They also started providing full NASDAQ Level II quotes for a small additional fee of $25 (exchange fees are already included). This Level II feed works very well through QuoteTracker. RJT is also one of the two brokerages that QuoteTracker currently supports for Integrated Trading.

- Scottrade - www.scottradestreamer.com
They decided to pick up where DATEK left off. Scottrade is now offering FREE streaming quotes to EVERYBODY. Brokerage account is NOT required. It is streaming but not tick-by-tick. Maximum of 40 symbols at a time. Scottrade also supports OPTION quotes.

- E*Trade MarketCaster - www.etrade.com
Free streaming quotes to all E*Trade clients. It is streaming but not even close to tick-by-tick. Maximum of 80 symbols at a time. The speed of update slows down proportionally to the number of symbols being tracked.

- DATEK - www.datek.com
Datek feed remains a pretty good one. It is streaming but not tick-by-tick and Datek also provides Level II quotes for a fee, though these are also not tick-by-tick. We now support both the original (Datek STREAMING) and the Streamer 3 (Datek NEW STREAMING) data feeds. NOTE: DATEK data feed occasionally returns incorrect CHANGE value. To get around this problem, go to OPTIONS/Data Sources menu, click on the QUOTES tab, select the DATEK listing that you are using, then check the box for "Use Prev. Close to calculate Change".

New Features

Integrated Trading You can now trade through your own broker using QuoteTracker direct access interface. Order Entry and transaction monitoring is drastically faster. We currently support RJT.COM and DATEK for Integrated Trading. We plan on adding others in the future. Here is how it works:

• Select OPTIONS/Data Sources and click on the trading tab.
• Specify the account(s) you want to use for trading through QT.
• Check the box for "Double Click on Bid/Ask/Last Invokes Trading"
• To place an order, Double Click on Bid/Ask or Last fields on the quote tables and QT will fill in the trade panel with the stock info. Click SUBMIT and you are done.
• To cancel or modify an order, just select it in the transaction panel and click the corresponding button, or right click on the order and select the action from the popup menu.

Intraday Charts - New Technical Indicators
We have added the following technical indicators to the QuoteTracker intraday charts:

· CCI · Directional Movement Indicator (DMI)

· ADX · Volume +
· Efficiency Ratio

Fibonacci Retracements
You can now draw Fibonacci Retracements on both the Intraday and Historical charts. Draw a trend line on the chart, then right click on the line and select "Set Fibonacci Retracements" from the Popup menu. Related settings can be configured on Preferences/Charts screen. Trend line options

• Infinite Trend Lines - You can now set QT to use Infinite trend lines. That way, when you draw a trend line, it will extend in both directions from the two end-points. To do that, select "OPTIONS/Edit Preferences" menu, click on the CHARTS tab and inside of it, click on the MISCELLANIOUS tab. Check the box for "Infinite" Trend Lines.
• Copy Trend Line - Lets you make a copy of the current trend line to create a second, parallel trend line. Right click on the trend line you want to copy and select "Copy the Line" from the popup menu Intraday Chart enhancements
• Multiple Charts for a single symbol - You can now have more than one chart open for a single symbol for viewing different time periods, chart types, indicators, etc. Bring up the first chart, then right click on it and select "New Chart" from the popup menu.
• Changing Chart Symbol - You can quickly change the symbol for a chart by just typing in the new symbol while viewing the chart.
• Indicator Periods - Previously, the technical indicators always used a time period of 1 minute for calculations. The indicator period is now synchronized to the frequency of the chart
• Hot Keys for Chart Period and Frequency - you can now hit 1,2,3,4,5 keys to switch between the various Chart Periods while viewing a chart instead of having to go through the popup menu. Hold down CTRL key and hit 1,2,3,4,5 to switch between different chart frequencies
• Cross-hairs - you can now turn off the chart cross-hairs and just turn them on as needed by holding down the SHIFT key.
• Chart Double-Click - Now Maximizes/Restores the chart.
• Double-Click on bottom Charts - Opens indicator selection window

If you are currently using QuoteTracker, we hope that the this email will uncover some of the new features that you might have missed. If you are no longer using QuoteTracker, you should definitely try it again. The new features, improved stability and the overall package has greatly improved since you last tried it.

As always, QuoteTracker is completely free. Though we do provide an option to register to get rid of the ads, we do not encourage it. The ads are the only difference between the registered and the un-registered version of QuoteTracker. Please feel free to use QT as much as you want for as long as you like. And of course, if you like it, show it to your friends, neighbors and co-workers, etc. The more the merrier :).
